VPS Tanzania and Cloud Servers
AFRICLOUD provides VPS Tanzania hosting and cloud servers for Tanzanian businesses from our Johannesburg data centre, directly peered at NAP Africa, the continent's largest Internet Exchange Point. Our measured best-case latency to Dar es Salaam is around 44 ms via MIC Tanzania (Tigo). Pay via PayPal, major cards, or 300+ cryptocurrencies. Mobile Money for Tanzania is on our roadmap, pending payment-processor onboarding completion.
AFRICLOUD provides VPS Tanzania and cloud servers from our Johannesburg data centre, directly peered at NAP Africa, the continent's largest Internet Exchange Point, with over 580 networks exchanging traffic on-site. Our measured best-case latency from Johannesburg to Dar es Salaam is around 44 ms via MIC Tanzania (Tigo), with similar round-trips to Arusha (around 43 ms via Habari Node) and Zanzibar. Dodoma runs slightly higher at around 49 ms via the Tanzania Education and Research Network.
Measurement coverage is strongest at Dar es Salaam (our largest Tanzanian sample by far), Arusha, Dodoma, and Zanzibar. For Mwanza, Mbeya, Tanga, and other Tanzanian destinations where our AFRINIC sample is thinner, use our Looking Glass to verify latency from your specific network before ordering. Real-world latency varies by carrier, the figures on this page are best-case minimums from AFRICLOUD test nodes against AFRINIC-registered Tanzanian networks.
Tanzanian customer workloads cluster around a few sectors. E-commerce storefronts serving the domestic and East African market. Tourism and hospitality platforms, especially Zanzibar booking infrastructure and Arusha-based safari operators whose bookings flow online. Logistics and port-handling coordination tooling tied to Dar es Salaam's container port. Fintech backends that interoperate with the dominant mobile-money rails. SaaS platforms serving the broader East African Community. NVMe storage and AMD EPYC processors across every VM1–VM8 plan keep database response and application startup tight enough for transaction-oriented workloads.
On payments, Tanzanian businesses currently have flexible options. We accept PayPal, major cards, and over 300 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin, and Monero. Tanzanian customers can buy server with crypto using any of these supported coins. Roughly a quarter of all AFRICLOUD orders settle in cryptocurrency, so this is a mainstream option on our platform, not a niche. Mobile Money for Tanzania is on our roadmap, pending payment-processor onboarding. Once live, you'll be able to top up your Atlas billing account in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) directly at checkout. Until then, cryptocurrency and PayPal are the most commonly-used rails for Tanzanian customers who prefer to avoid international card transfers.
For workloads that serve both Tanzania and European audiences, our Lisbon data centre is available as a second region, providing geographic redundancy for backup and disaster-recovery scenarios. For single-tenant dedicated servers rather than self-service VPS, we handle those quote-based, contact us with your workload profile. VM1 through VM8 deploy in under two minutes after payment confirmation. Verify live latency from your own network via our public Looking Glass before ordering.
