Managed Cloud & Infrastructure
Dedicated teams. Owned hardware. Two jurisdictions.
Managed private cloud, VPS fleets, dedicated servers, and geo-redundant backup for enterprises, banks, governments, and SaaS platforms who need more than a single self-service VM. We own our infrastructure, we run our own network, and we operate under your commercial terms.
AFRICLOUD managed cloud infrastructure is built for organisations whose workloads have outgrown a single VM but who want the sovereignty, performance, and commercial flexibility that hyperscalers do not offer. Our managed private cloud runs on AMD EPYC 7763 hardware with 1 TiB of RAM per node and NVMe Gen4 storage. We operate our own ASN (AS209179) with direct peering at DE-CIX Lisbon, DE-CIX Madrid, and NAPAfrica, including bilateral peering with Google, Cloudflare, Apple, Meta, and Hurricane Electric. Two data centres across Portugal (EU) and South Africa give your workloads real geographic redundancy with coherent data-protection posture. One dedicated technical account team per customer. One set of commercial terms that actually fits how your procurement works.
Who This Is For
Managed services are quote-based and designed for organisations with fleet, compliance, or SLA requirements. If you need a single $20 VM, our self-service VPS is the faster path.
Enterprises & public-sector bodies
Ministries, parastatals, regulators, and critical-national-infrastructure operators running internal systems where ownership, location, and contractual terms matter as much as price.
Banks, fintechs & payment processors
Regulated entities that need dedicated hardware isolation, DPA templates, scoped access controls, and a clear chain of custody, outside FedRAMP / HIPAA scope.
SaaS & ISV platforms
Growing platforms that need more than a single VM: fleets of managed nodes, geo-redundant backup, private networking between regions, and a named engineer to talk to.
Scaling operators with fleet needs
Any verifiable organisation with 5+ VMs, multi-region redundancy, or formal SLA requirements. Location-agnostic. We serve customers globally from Lisbon and Johannesburg.

Why Lisbon and Johannesburg
Infrastructure you can verify. Not a reseller, not a hyperscaler reseller, not someone else's rack.
Our own network (AS209179)
We operate our own autonomous system with BGP peering at DE-CIX Lisbon, DE-CIX Madrid, NAPAfrica, and WorkOnline upstream transit. Bilateral peering at NAPAfrica with Google, Cloudflare, Apple, Meta, Hurricane Electric, and AFR-IX. Verifiable at PeeringDB.
Enterprise hardware we own
AMD EPYC 7763 (Lisbon) and AMD EPYC 7452 (Johannesburg) with 1 TiB RAM per node. NVMe Gen4 primary storage. 100 GbE LR4 uplink at Johannesburg. No reseller layer. The hardware is ours.
Two jurisdictions, coherent posture
Lisbon is in the European Union (GDPR jurisdiction). Johannesburg is in South Africa (POPIA jurisdiction). Pick the regulatory home that fits your workload, or run both for redundancy.
Enterprise monitoring, live
Packet-flow analysis, SNMP inventory across all network devices, and automated BGP health checks running continuously. Not a dashboard we bought. Infrastructure we built and run.
Private overlay between regions
A private overlay network between Lisbon and Johannesburg is available per engagement (~143 ms RTT). For cross-region replication, DR, and split workloads. Delivered as overlay, not marketed as dedicated dark fibre we do not own.
Backup platform already live
22 TB enterprise backup platform in production today at Lisbon, deduplicated, with retention policies already in place. Geo-redundant replication to Johannesburg available per engagement.
Commercial Terms That Fit Procurement
Real enterprise buyers do not sign up through a credit-card form. Our contracting model matches the way your finance and procurement teams actually work.
Purchase orders and invoicing
PO-based engagement · monthly, quarterly, or annual invoicing · multi-year MSAs with renewal terms · Net 30, 60, or 90 on request.
Local-currency billing via Mobile Money
In operational markets with live Mobile Money rails, we accept local-currency settlement, reducing FX exposure on your infrastructure budget.
Card, PayPal, or cryptocurrency
Standard card and PayPal rails. Alternatively 300+ cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, and others) for cross-border simplicity.
Standard enterprise paperwork
NDA · Master Services Agreement · Data Processing Agreement (GDPR / POPIA template) · Service Level Agreement · security questionnaires. All standard.
How We Start
Most managed engagements go from first conversation to production in four to eight weeks. Faster for single-region deployments, longer when compliance review is involved.
Scoping call
30 to 60 minutes. We understand your workload, scale, compliance requirements, and what success looks like. No slide deck. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you.
Architecture proposal
Written proposal: topology, capacity, SLA targets, commercial terms. Under NDA if needed. You review with your technical and procurement teams.
Pilot / proof of concept
Typically two to four weeks. A dedicated engineer helps you stand up a representative slice of the workload so you can verify performance and operational fit before signing a longer term.
Production rollout
Named technical account owner assigned. Response SLA live. Monitoring, backup, and change-management calendar in place. Quarterly review locked in.

Common Questions
Direct answers. If yours isn't here, ask us on the scoping call.
How is this different from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud?
We run our own hardware on our own ASN (AS209179) in two jurisdictions. One contract, one invoice, one technical account owner. No opaque line items, no egress cliff, no regional-service-unavailable surprises. For workloads that fit our shape (fleets, private cloud, backup, and databases), you get predictable pricing, faster human response, and commercial terms that match how your procurement actually works.
Do you hold SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS certification?
We do not hold those certifications today. We operate our own hardware in our own facilities with documented change management and scoped access controls, and we can provide DPA templates for GDPR (Lisbon) and POPIA (Johannesburg) jurisdictions. If your procurement requires a third-party attestation as a hard gate, we are honest about that: we are not your vendor today. If your review is about technical posture and contractual commitments, let us talk.
Where is my data physically located?
You choose: Lisbon (European Union, GDPR jurisdiction), Johannesburg (South Africa, POPIA jurisdiction), or both for redundancy. The choice is written into your contract. We do not silently move workloads between regions.
What is the minimum commitment?
Managed engagements typically start at monthly billing with a 30-day notice period. Multi-year MSAs are available with pricing that reflects the commitment. Pilot / proof-of-concept engagements are scoped separately and charged at standard rates.
Do you support Kubernetes, GPU workloads, or scale-out distributed storage?
Managed Kubernetes is on our roadmap, available for pre-sales conversation with shipping milestones shared under NDA. GPU workloads and scale-out distributed storage are not offered today and we do not want to mislead you into thinking they are. For container workloads, we support self-managed Kubernetes on our private-cloud or dedicated-server tiers today.
Can my team get scoped admin access to our own infrastructure?
Yes. Per-engagement we set up scoped role-based access with customer-specific API tokens. Your operators can run Terraform or Ansible against our platform, with RBAC boundaries enforced by the underlying virtualisation layer.
What happens when something breaks at 02:00?
Your response-time SLA is committed in your MSA. You get a private communication channel (email, Slack, or Mattermost as preferred) and direct escalation to your technical account owner. We are honest about our current on-call model. Specifics are in your SLA document, not marketing copy.
How do we get started?
Fill the enquiry form below with a short description of your workload. We respond within one business day to book a scoping call. No sales deck, no qualification grid. Just a real technical conversation.
Ready to Talk?
